Hallow e’en and I look out my window from the comfort of my work place, feeling blessed by the view, and my surroundings. And then something happens …

alder   maple
copper beech       outlines
muted by fingers of mist

looking in    you
would see desk     computer
printer     files      books
more books     a black cat
asleep      one ear turned
to the tap-type of fingers


chest-of-drawers piled                                                  159..9.14.13.
with journals   papers
the mess of a writer’s life

while I look out
at the ghost of you
