Chickadees, juncos, nuthatches, all familiar at our feeder, with woodpeckers and others. I keep the nut-feeder going all year (inaccessible to squirrels), but discontinue the seeds for the summer …

To Bethlehem: ‘This little book is delightful, full of … poems on this timeless subject. … the most fun is the little prose vignettes of the common people in the Christ-child story. The slave who looks after the wise men’s camels, or the overworked maid at the inn who has to fetch water for the birth, and many more. A lovely gift for the reader on your Christmas list!’ Rosalind Adams. Available from Amazon and Kindle.
We feed birds year round also, lots of lessons on survival; they have kept me entertained many, many days, wonderful days taking many pictures. One junco discovered our car mirrors, regularly comes to say hello to that bird he or she discovered there. We also have 2 families of humming birds, feeding above our main window.
Birds really are the best entertainment! And free!
