empty chairs
against the wall
wait for worn work-boots
tired bodies lean into bent metal
tilt metal legs and stretch out
reach for a soda raise a laugh
turn the world right-side up
select winning team and m.v.p.
bury politicians in old smoke
add fish tales to high glory
until its time to let the chairs
rest again
