MOVING ON

he moved his workshop –
tools and sawdust
lathe and chisel

now hammer and saws
hang along garage walls
mixed with spade and rake

the old workshop
white panelled, well lit
where children play or sleep
when they come to visit
grandparents

The slave who looks after the wise men’s camels, or the overworked maid at the inn who has to fetch water for the birth, and many more. A lovely gift for the reader on your Christmas list!’ Rosalind Adams. Available from Amazon and Kindle.
