GARAGE SALE                                                                    087 garage sale

I browse through poetry books
choose five
and a Spanish dictionary

wander to the craft stall
discover an antique crochet hook
like the one Grandmother used

silver teaspoons   pottery mugs                             069
with a deep blue glaze
a Brown Betty teapot

I run my hand over an end-table
buy it for the den
ours   well-worn and tatty

no need for toys
but how can I pass
a box of Lego?
